Abstract

This article reviews a model for approaching the life within a community. The ¨Integral Plan for Community Living¨ model, which was endorsed to be implemented in seven districts the Autonomous Community of Basque Country, including one neighborhood of Bilbao, over the last five years has met it´s objectives. The Integral Plan for Community Living goes beyond resolving everyday conflicts, noise, problems between neighbors, the use of public space, etc. It also deals with questions that affect different areas of and services provided by the town hall, conflicts or problems that affect the community which could be considered meso or macroconflicts, and those which directly affect the well-being of the citizenry.
