Abstract

This paper proposes, in a brief way, a cognitive-behavioural protocol treatment for schizophrenia.

First, the article explains how to asses and treat the positive symptoms of schizophrenia with verbal techniques and behavioural experiments. Next topic is the treatment of negative symptoms. And finally, there is a chapter dedicated to relapse prevention.

The aim of this work is to show a way of Cognitive-Behavioural treatment o Schizophrenia for Clinical Psychologist. The article does not include a revision of the empirical status of cognitive behavioural treatment of schizophrenia. For that, we recommend the refreshing work o Kingdom and Turkington (2005).
