Abstract

The present article describes a study of a case according to the classification proposed by Montero and León (2002), and following the rules for the redaction of clinic cases by Buela-Casal and Sierra (2002). Here it is presented the case of a 67 years old woman who attends to consultant for therapy about her sexuality. The facts are collected in the evaluation through interview. The choice of the treatment is based on the work on the perception and the attitude about grown adults and their sexuality, and practices for developing by the patient. The therapy is carried forward thirteen sessions, one hour each session once a week. The continuation consists on the telephonic communication once every fifteen days during three months. The reason for this 67 years old woman seeking advice is so she can learn and experience her sexuality, expressed, through her emotions, thoughts and beliefs, her own lived sexual experiences, motivation and affectivity, receiving information and sexual education at the grown adult stage, for obtaining the highest quality of sexual life, in concrete, and quality of life in general. The reason for creating this article, is to have knowledge of a clinic case which proposes the attention to a sexual request, communicating by this way the importance which represents the work carried out by the professionals in Psychology and Sexology in a such a relevant subject, as Sexual Health.
