Abstract

The aim of this article is memory in the child witness an its social significance. First of all, some reflections are made about what does it mean “to be a good witness” and “to give a good testimony”. Second, we consider if children and adolescents can really be “good witnesses”, taking into account the avaible research data. Finally, some current issues about children’s eyewitness testimonies are shown briefly, and as well several variables that are important to understand these testimonies.
