Abstract

In this research, we have tried to know some aspects of the managers’ life styles such as their behavior at home, with family and children, and with the community where he/she lives. The main hypothesis is to show the degree of congruence between the life style of one manager outside his/her job and his/her behavior within an enterprise. These behaviors have been given special attention in one basic dimension: the degree of participation that these managers develop among their subordinates. Since, in fact, the behaviors of one manager at home with his/her family and in his/her community, show us, among other things, their level of participation in these different aspects and their personal style in relating to others (that they can depend on him/her – for example, their children or their employees- or not). Precisely, the differences and the similarities between these two areas (such as work and personal life) are the fundamental elements of this paper.
