Abstract

Dyslexia is the diagnostic prescription which pathologises the pupil, liberates the school from educative responsibilities and legitimizes certain procedures which, at times, are part of the problem.
In order to understand why a pupil does not learn to read and write correctly, everything which happens into the class must be analysed.

Failure to approach problems regarding reading and writing from this perspective may encourage the use of practices and strategies which justify the selective processes which take place at school
