Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a review of some theoretical orientations emerged in the late twentieth century, which are suggested as alternatives to the dominant models of information processing. First, it describes the distinctive features of cognitive orientation. The following outlines the main criticisms of this approach. Subsequently, carried out a description of some schools of thought emerged in social psychology, which present alternative positions to cognitivism.
