La dependencia al smartphone ha sido un tema ampliamente debatido en la comunidad científica, tanto por su definición como por su existencia. La inmediatez de la respuesta a la mensajería instantánea se ha descrito como una conducta impulsiva relacionada con la dependencia al móvil. La impulsividad es un factor central en el desarrollo y el mantenimiento de las conductas adictivas. En el presente experimento, se analiza el papel que tiene el tiempo de reacción a los mensajes de texto como predictor de la dependencia al smartphone. Para ello, se ha analizado la relación entre el tiempo de respuesta a los mensajes de texto en diversas situaciones, la dependencia al smartphone y la impulsividad en una muestra de 231 participantes.
